REQUEST FOR NOMINATIONS

THE FOURTH ANNUAL

PAUL W. GABONAY VOLUNTEER SERVICE AWARD

Do you know a dedicated volunteer whom you would like to honor? The College Career Center Consortium is requesting nominations for our third annual Paul W. Gabonay Volunteer Service Award. This prize, which includes a $500 monetary award and commemorative plaque, recognizes the undergraduate student of a member school who best exemplifies the qualities of integrity, commitment to serving those in need, and dedication to fostering the growth and gifts of others.

The Paul W. Gabonay Volunteer Service Award is named for a long-term member and leader of the College Career Center Consortium (CCCC) who served the Consortium for over 35 years prior while Director of Career Services at the University of Indianapolis. Both in his work and through his community service activities, Paul has manifested the qualities that now serve as the criteria for this award.

To be eligible for the Paul W. Gabonay Volunteer Service Award, nominees must:

  • have provided unpaid, direct volunteer service for a minimum of 100 hours total within the previous twelve months;
  • demonstrate the qualities named above (integrity, commitment to serving those in need, and dedication to fostering the growth and gifts of others); and
  • be current full-time undergraduates at a CCCC member institution.
Faculty or staff of member schools may nominate one student per year from their school using the process described here: Gabonay Award Nomination Form.docx. Nominations will be accepted until January 15, 2018. The award winner will be announced by March 1, 2018 at www.cccc-in.org.
